The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hall closes the distance and pushes Schrute back into the cage.
Hall is trying to drag Schrute to the mat but Schrute just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Hall is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Schrute pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Schrute is defending well against a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pat Hall. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hall is looking to take this one to the mat.
Hall wants to take the fight to the mat but Schrute manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Hall has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Schrute after a bit of a struggle.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Schrute leaves Hall with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Oh Hall is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Schrute tries to clinch up
enabling Hall to counter with a crisp jab.

Schrute measures up his opponent and throws a superman punch that connects to the jaw! Down goes Hall! The ref steps in, and that's the ball game folks!
