1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Akira Onikawa! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, James Atkins and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Onikawa decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Onikawa is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Onikawa is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Kelley defends it well. Kelley trying to control but Onikawa postures up.

Kelley regains full guard. Nicely done. Onikawa sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Kelley's guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Onikawa is looking for a kimura here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Onikawa is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Kelley has managed to free his arm - good work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Onikawa is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Onikawa looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Kelley is looking to control Onikawa's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kelley avoid being mounted? Onikawa seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kelley does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Kelley has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Onikawa is working away from the top position though. Kelley is refusing to be controlled, as Onikawa sits in half guard. Onikawa is working for a submission of some sort.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Onikawa seems to be looking for submissions.

Onikawa perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Onikawa is looking for a kimura but Kelley is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Onikawa to get the leverage. Onikawa is working for a kimura but Kelley is defending it quite comfortably.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Onikawa has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Kelley defend it? Onikawa steps over the head and cranks it - Kelley is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Onikawa!
