Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dennis Marco (ranked 4615 p4p, 514 weight class) and Tsukune Shiba (ranked 4434 p4p, 496 weight class). Shiba has chosen Fall Out Boy - The Phoenix as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Dennis Marco has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Dennis Marco seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Chris Dean and John Mangel.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice inside leg kick there by Marco. That's going to slow Shiba down.
Marco definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Marco avoids the body shot from Shiba.
Marco lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Shiba circles away quickly and effectively.
Shiba wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Shiba has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Marco misses with a hook.
Shiba just misses with a punch to the body.
Marco connects with a nice looking jab.
Marco throws a shot from downtown. Shiba moves away and avoids it.
Shiba checks a leg kick nicely.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Shiba! But no joy.
Marco feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Shiba's calf.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Shiba takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Marco takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

It looks like Dennis Marco has been cut.
Shiba's corner calls for a 1-2. Shiba obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Shiba tries to move into range but Marco moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Marco walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Shiba bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Marco uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Shiba.
Dennis Marco seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Shiba throws out a loose jab but Marco uses good head movement to avoid it.
Marco went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
A solid leg kick lands there for Marco.
Shiba misses the body punch
and Marco counters with a straight right hand.
Marco jabs Shiba right on the nose. Shiba blinks but takes it well.
Marco connects with a single shot there.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Marco looks to throw the jab but Shiba is out of range.
Shiba walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Marco tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
A nice side step and Shiba releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

and Shiba counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Marco ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Shiba moves away.
Marco uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Shiba.
Marco is looking to counter punch.
Marco displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Shiba throws out the jab.
Shiba moves out of range of the body kick from Marco.

Marco takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Marco lands a nice leg kick that just misses Shiba's sensitive parts.

Shiba closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks Marco out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!
