Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cornelius Burns (ranked 1254 p4p, 203 weight class) and Mikhail Popkov (ranked 1388 p4p, 216 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cornelius Burns!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mikhail Popkov!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Atkins and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Popkov tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Burns throwing a counter right hand but Popkov manages to avoid it.
Popkov lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Burns circles away quickly and effectively.
Popkov lands a two punch combo.
Popkov swings for the body but Burns moves out of range.
It looked like Burns wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Popkov gets a clinch.
Burns misses with a short punch on the inside.
Burns doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Popkov breaks from the clinch.
Mikhail Popkov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Popkov lands a lovely overhand right.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Popkov smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Popkov throws a poor cross that misses
and Popkov takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Popkov will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Popkov throws a hook but Burns blocks it.
Burns swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Good standup being displayed there by Popkov as he connects with a hook.
Oooooh!!! Popkov has knocked Burns down with a huge combo! Popkov steps away and waves a wobbly Burns back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Burns is rocked!
It looks like Cornelius Burns has been cut.
Popkov takes one on the button.
Popkov works the jab nicely.
Oh Burns is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Popkov fakes the body blow, causing Burns to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Burns goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
