Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Frank Dennis and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cruz closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hart circles away.
Cruz looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Hart changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Cruz looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Hart tries to advance to mount but Cruz denies him.
Hart remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Cruz really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hart. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Hart creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

Cruz takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Hart is working to tighten is grip on Cruz's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Cruz has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Hart is really squeezing tight and eventually Cruz passes out! Hart breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
