Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jesper Rock (ranked 5484 p4p, 0 weight class) and Deontay Joshua (ranked 4783 p4p, 0 weight class). Deontay Joshua is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jesper Rock! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Deontay Joshua! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Tiny Johnson and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Joshua looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Rock! Rock sneaks out the side door and pushes Joshua away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. Deontay Joshua seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rock leaves Joshua with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Joshua throws a nice looking combination but Rock bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Joshua shoots in looking for a takedown. Rock tries to sprawl out of it but Joshua keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rock manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Joshua gets a clinch. This has been an exciting period of action! Joshua pulls guard effortlessly. Joshua really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rock. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rock trying to control but Joshua is working from the bottom. Rock could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Rock trying to stand up but can't free himself from Joshua's guard. Joshua trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Rock accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Joshua preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Rock with a flurry of punches that miss. Joshua has Rock pulled in close to control his posture. Joshua is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Rock defends well.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Joshua cracks a nice hook into Rock's ribs. Joshua forces Rock back against the cage and clinches. Rock tries to pull guard but Joshua forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Joshua has clasped his hands together around Rock's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Joshua connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Rock some visible discomfort.
Joshua trying to control the action but Rock is working from the bottom. Rock is looking to reverse the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rock defending against the ground and pound. Joshua tries for a kimura but Rock is defending well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Joshua lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Rock down.
Joshua throwing shots but missing, from side control. Joshua takes a little break here. Rock wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Joshua trying to control the action but Rock is working from the bottom. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Joshua in side control, just content to control the action for now. Let's hope that Joshua has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Deontay Joshua dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
No luck for Joshua with that takedown attempt. Joshua drives through and clinches with Rock against the cage.
A left hand lands to the body for Joshua.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Joshua takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Joshua tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Rock just stands there and leans against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Joshua manages to break the clinch.
Joshua has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Joshua rushes Rock and presses him up against the cage. Rock fails to pull the fight into his guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Joshua slowing the pace effectively. Joshua lands a right hand. Joshua wants a takedown but no success here.
Jesper Rock has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Deontay Joshua. Joshua tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Rock smiles and moves away.
Rock tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Joshua swivels and escapes. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Rock. A slapping leg kick lands for Joshua.
Nice shot lands for Rock.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Joshua throws a leg kick but Rock checks it. Joshua shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Rock napping and manages to drive through into side control! Rock throws Joshua to one side and escapes! This has been an exciting period of action! Horrible takedown attempt by Joshua or perhaps it was just good defense by Rock, which made it look bad. Rock throws a series of punches but Joshua avoids them all with ease. Nice takedown defense from Rock. No joy for Joshua on that attempt. Rock shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Joshua defends it nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. No luck for Joshua with that takedown attempt. Joshua throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Nice takedown defense from Rock. No joy for Joshua on that attempt. Joshua moves into the clinch successfully.
Rock jumps guard but Joshua turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Rock prevents a takedown attempt there.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Joshua holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Joshua ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Joshua no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Rock is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Rock postures up in Joshua's guard and throws a big left but Joshua blocks it. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Joshua looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Rock gets to his feet. Joshua looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Deontay Joshua will probably get the nod - 10:9. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Joshua closes the distance and clinches. Joshua keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Rock's efforts to push away. Joshua breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Joshua gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Rock counters with a crisp one two that drops Joshua! Rock thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Joshua to his feet! Joshua is in big trouble! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rock shoots in but Joshua avoids the takedown attempt easily. Joshua tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Rock defends well and Joshua ends up having to push Rock into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Joshua moves into the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. A head punch on the inside from Rock fails to land. Joshua tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Rock just stands there and leans against the cage. Jesper Rock has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Deontay Joshua. Joshua breaks the clinch.
Joshua doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Joshua takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Rock swinging wildly here.

Joshua has Rock pressed against the cage, preventing Rock from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Joshua has Rock pushed against the cage. Joshua has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Rock avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Joshua is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Joshua jumps guard but Rock turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Joshua is working for takedown but Rock is calmly controlling the position for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Joshua drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Rock gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Rock throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Joshua works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Rock wants to control from the top but Joshua keeps moving. Rock decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Joshua clinches up with Rock and pushes him back against the cage. Joshua leaning against his opponent.
Joshua slowing the pace effectively. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Rock throws a punch but it's blocked by Joshua. Joshua using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Rock has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Jesper Rock has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Deontay Joshua is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Joshua turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Joshua manages to end up in side control.
And that's the end of the fight! Deontay Joshua comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Joshua has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
