The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bourne throws a head kick that misses
and Sanders decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Bourne's guard.
Sanders decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Sanders avoids the head kick by Bourne.
Sanders closes the distance and clinches up with Bourne, looking for a takedown. Sanders pushes Bourne against the cage but Bourne circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Bourne rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sanders moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
As Bourne tries to get set, Sanders tries to push him back and clinch up but Bourne manages to avoid the attempt.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bourne stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sanders swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Bourne is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Sanders is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Sanders has escaped and now he's on top!
Sanders really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Bourne feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Sanders will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Eliseo Sanders.
