5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Slammy Neckbreaker! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shigeki Sano and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Laperierre keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Neckbreaker. Laperierre avoids the body shot from Neckbreaker.
Laperierre really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Neckbreaker misses with an uppercut. Laperierre has managed to clinch.
Neckbreaker is trying to drag Laperierre to the mat but Laperierre just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. A battle for position here, against the cage. Neckbreaker throws out a token jab with nothing on it. As Neckbreaker tries to get set, Laperierre tries to push him back and clinch up but Neckbreaker manages to avoid the attempt. Laperierre lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Neckbreaker moves away from the strike by Laperierre. Neckbreaker changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Laperierre fails with an attempt to clinch.

Laperierre ducks under a wild hook from Neckbreaker. An attempted straight right counter from Laperierre misses the target. Laperierre swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Neckbreaker. Neckbreaker closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Laperierre to the mat! Laperierre manages to get full guard. Neckbreaker has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Neckbreaker is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Neckbreaker is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Laperierre.
