Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Oleg Jomaro (ranked 7706 p4p, 0 weight class) and Diego Barrera (ranked 4036 p4p, 0 weight class). Oleg Jomaro has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Oleg Jomaro! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Diego Barrera! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Jorge Garcia and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jomaro closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Barrera quickly recovers to half guard. Jomaro really is a fat lump. Barrera looking for submissions off his back. Jomaro content to control rather than advance. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jomaro has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Barrera looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Jomaro controlling the pace. Barrera looking for submissions from an awkward position here. That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Jomaro drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Jomaro content to stall in guard here. Jomaro avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Jomaro might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Jomaro sitting in guard, not really doing much.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Barrera looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Jomaro content to stall in guard here. Jomaro seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Barrera for as long as he can get away with. Barrera is looking to stand up but Jomaro isn't so interested in that idea.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Jomaro controlling from the top position. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Barrera working for a triangle but Jomaro defends it easily.
Barrera is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Jomaro is aware though and is defending well. Jomaro forces his way into half guard. Barrera actively working from the bottom here. Still in half guard, Jomaro seems content to control. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Jomaro's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Barrera is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Jomaro pulls his head out easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jomaro slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Further stalling from Jomaro. If it seems like I'm not saying a lot, it's just because Jomaro is stinking the place up with his stalling. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. This is a sustained period of stalling by Jomaro.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Jomaro gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Barrera gets to his feet - Jomaro follows without any prompting. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Barrera clinches up with Jomaro and pushes him back against the cage. Jomaro is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Barrera is defending well. Jomaro wants to take the fight to the mat but Barrera manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Barrera lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Barrera lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Barrera scores a nice knee to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Barrera with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Barrera lands an elbow inside that Jomaro shrugs off. Barrera lands a damaging elbow. Jomaro tries for a takedown but Barrera manages to get underhooks.

Jomaro is rocked! Barrera jerks Jomaro's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Jomaro drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Barrera goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Barrera because Jomaro was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.
