Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Adel Sadeq! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Welter Weight! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Robert Twigg and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sadeq uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Weight. Weight throws out a loose jab but Sadeq uses good head movement to avoid it. Weight throws a poor cross that misses

Sadeq goes for a double leg but Weight avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Weight continues to drive forward. It seemed like Weight was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Sadeq shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Weight as he jumps to the side.

Sadeq fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Weight avoids it really well and circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Adel Sadeq. That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Weight throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Sadeq sees it coming and avoids it easily. Weight slaps away a takedown attempt from Sadeq, before circling back to the center of the mat. Welter Weight seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Weight misses with the combination.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Sadeq tries to score a power double leg takedown but Weight sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Sadeq somewhat. Weight looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Welter Weight seems to be getting the better of the standup. Weight misses with a looping right. As Weight tries to get set, Sadeq tries to push him back and clinch up but Weight manages to avoid the attempt. Sadeq moves out of range as Weight strikes. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Weight lands with an overhand left. Sadeq moves away from the strike by Weight. Sadeq drops down looking for a counter takedown but Weight sprawls and moves away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Welter Weight showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
