Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between French Fried (ranked 1303 p4p, 132 weight class) and Tj Bidon Dillashaw (ranked 2786 p4p, 245 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, French Fried!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tj Bidon Dillashaw!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Frank Dennis and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fried throws an overhand right that lands on Dillashaw's shoulder, as Dillashaw tries to avoid the shot.
Fried tests Dillashaw's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Fried lands with a cross.
Fried misses with a straight left.
Fried wants to clinch
and Dillashaw cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
We've been told by Fried's head coaches at Grind Time [ *Double Elite Coaches] that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
French Fried seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dillashaw takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Dillashaw rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Fried moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Dillashaw throws a looping overhand right but Fried ducks down to avoid it.
Fried staying out of range there.

Dillashaw is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Fried.
Fried lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Dillashaw missing with a left hand there. Fried was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Fried throws a shot from downtown. Dillashaw moves away and avoids it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Donk. Dillashaw catches Fried right on the button with a cross.
Fried tries to clinch but Dillashaw is having none of it.
Fried tries to close the distance and clinch up but Dillashaw swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Fried fails with an attempt to clinch.
Dillashaw tries to score with a low kick but Fried moves his leg out of the way.
Fried misses with a lunging right hand
and Dillashaw counters with a stiff right hand.
Dillashaw defending well as Fried loads up on a big left hand.
Dillashaw throws a hook to the side of Fried's head but Fried sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Fried takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Dillashaw misses with a double jab.
Dillashaw avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Dillashaw looks to land a combination but Fried avoids it well.
Dillashaw looks for the body kick but Fried saw that one coming.
Nice straight punches there by Fried. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Fried.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fried throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Dillashaw walks into a jab.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
A looping hook to the body misses from Fried. Dillashaw does a little dance to reset his feet.
Fried wants to clinch.
Fried ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Fried wants to clinch up but Dillashaw keeps it at a distance.
Fried bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Dillashaw takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Fried takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Fried tries to clinch up but Dillashaw circles away and keeps his distance.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Nice body punch from Fried.
Dillashaw throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Fried's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Dillashaw dives in looking to finish as Fried flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Dillashaw's strikes! Dillashaw is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Fried's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Fried was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tj Bidon Dillashaw!
