Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jermey Arnold (ranked 3592 p4p, 426 weight class) and Alexander Potter (ranked 2612 p4p, 344 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, William Peck and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arnold looks to throw the jab but Potter is out of range.
Arnold gets tackled into the cage by Potter. Potter maintains the clinch.
Potter breaks from the clinch.
Arnold throws a quick inside leg kick.
Arnold lands a really nice looking cross but Potter seems unphased.
Potter closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Potter lands in his opponent's guard.

Jermey Arnold has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alexander Potter.

Arnold is pressed up against the cage. Potter has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Arnold down to the mat. Arnold avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Arnold finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Potter closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Arnold to the mat! Arnold manages to get full guard.
Potter throws a big right hand that misses.
My spies in Gym inform me that Potter has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Arnold wants to sweep but no luck.
Potter has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Potter stands up over Arnold, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Potter.

That was a close round but I would say that Jermey Arnold will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Potter shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Arnold sprawls well. Arnold wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Potter gets slowly back to his feet.
It looked like Arnold was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Potter.
Potter slips a jab and a cross from Arnold.
Arnold gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Alexander Potter has got the better of the ground game so far.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Potter is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Arnold is just riding it out for now. Potter eventually gives up the hold.

Potter creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Potter tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Potter has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Potter in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Arnold is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
