Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Derek Rogan (ranked 1960 p4p, 96 weight class) and Daniel Brand (ranked 4543 p4p, 192 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Derek Rogan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Daniel Brand! The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Roosa Järviläinen and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brand misses the shot to the body. Rogan darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Rogan trying to control from half guard but Brand is working away. Brand manages to escape and get back to his feet! Brand lands a right hook to the body.
Brand swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Rogan decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Brand's guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Rogan with a flurry of punches that miss. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rogan passes easily into side control. Nice work. Brand wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground! Rogan is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Brand is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Brand is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Rogan has just dragged him back down to the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rogan wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Brand, who protects the arm well. Rogan tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Brand is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Rogan is controlling him well. Rogan creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Brand sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Brand wants to get back to his feet. Rogan fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Rogan has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Brand is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Rogan has just dragged him back down to the mat. Brand is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Brand defending against the ground and pound. Rogan trying to control the position but Brand is working away. Rogan happy to just control the position for now. Brand is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Rogan has just dragged him back down to the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brand throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done! A jab from Brand finds it's way through Rogan's defenses. Brand swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Rogan shoots in but no luck this time. Brand sizes up Rogan with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Brand throws a looping overhand right but Rogan ducks down to avoid it. Brand scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Rogan closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Brand to the mat! Brand manages to get full guard. Rogan looking to pass the guard. Brand is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Rogan trying to control the position from guard on top but Brand is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brand wants to stand and escape but Rogan is having none of it.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Brand fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Brand uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Rogan has time to react. Danga de danga de dang - Brand scores with a four punch combination!
It looks like Derek Rogan has been cut. Brand lands a nice shot that snaps Rogan's head back.
Brand throws a looping overhand right but Rogan ducks down to avoid it. Rogan staying out of range there. Brand throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Rogan sees it coming and avoids it easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rogan has his takedown stuffed and Brand counters with a straight right hand. Brand tests Rogan's chin there with a solid looking shot. Rogan takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Rogan misses with a takedown attempt and Brand counters with a nice uppercut. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Derek Rogan. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rogan takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Rogan looks for a takedown but Brand sprawls well. Brand lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Brand lands a nice hook to Rogan's body. Rogan takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Rogan is breathing heavily. Brand misses with a hook
so Rogan counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Daniel Brand dominated that round. The cut man is working on Derek Rogan's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Brand lands with a nice body punch. Daniel Brand seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Brand misses with a right hand and Rogan counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Brand is trying to stand up here but Rogan is controlling him well. Rogan with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Brand has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Rogan is on him like a limpet, forcing Brand back against the cage. Brand has had enough of the clinch but Rogan keeps him there for the moment. Rogan turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Rogan manages to end up in side control. Brand wants to get back to his feet but Rogan is dominant here and he's now got Brand's back! Brand is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Rogan off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted. This has been an exciting period of action! Brand trying to get back to his feet but Rogan is in full control for now. Brand is trying to shake Rogan off. He's managed it and has hopped back to his feet! Rogan won't be happy about giving up the dominant position. Sloppy strikes from Brand. Those never looked like landing. Brand connects with a nice looking jab.
Rogan uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Brand.
Rogan closes the distance and clinches up with Brand, looking for a takedown. Rogan pushes Brand against the cage but Brand circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brand misses the jab. Brand scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Rogan shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Brand counters with a straight right hand. Brand swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Rogan counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Rogan. Brand scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Brand throws a body punch but Rogan moves out of range. Derek Rogan is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Brand looks to score with a jab to the body but Rogan is just out of range. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Rogan takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

and Rogan counters with a nice double leg into guard. Brand has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Rogan is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. A frustrated look appears on Brand's face as he tries to break the clinch. Rogan keeps control of Brand as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Brand is defending well against a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Derek Rogan. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rogan is trying to trip Brand. He has hold of a leg but Brand is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Rogan persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Brand preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Brand is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Brand has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Brand can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Rogan controls the pace.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brand is looking to stand up but Rogan isn't so interested in that idea. Rogan sitting in guard, not really doing much.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Brand looks to land a combination. Rogan sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. A jab lands there for Brand. Brand scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Daniel Brand seems to be getting the better of the standup. Rogan slips under a jab. Rogan appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Brand lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rogan circles away quickly and effectively. Brand defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Rogan.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Brand fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Rogan defending well as Brand loads up on a big left hand. A jab-cross combination lands for Brand and sends Rogan crashing to the mat! Brand follows him down to the mat - Rogan regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Brand tries to stand but can't do so whilst Rogan controls his leg. Rogan actively working from the bottom here. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Brand misses with a hook. Rogan ducked under it nicely. Brand scores with a punch to the head. Rogan shoots in for a double leg but Brand sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. A little jabbing left from Brand on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brand lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Rogan sprawling to the canvas. Brand follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Rogan hang on? Rogan is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Brand pulls his head out easily. Brand stands up from half guard. Brand circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Rogan to the canvas! Rogan doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Brand keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
