Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Keijo Maki (ranked 1609 p4p, 188 weight class) and Kay Bone (ranked 1007 p4p, 117 weight class). Keijo Maki has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Keijo Maki!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Kay Bone!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maki throws a lazy uppercut
and Bone makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Maki wants to clinch.
Bone now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Maki thows a leg kick but Bone checks it
and Bone counters with a lovely shot to the body.
That kick from Maki tenderised Bone's leg. Bone is trying to keep his angry face on.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Maki.
Maki buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Bone on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Maki throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Bone stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Bone stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Maki.
The fighters circle momentarily. Maki darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Maki lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Bone or not.

Maki swings wildly with an uppercut but Bone uses good head movement to avoid it.

Bone has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Maki went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Maki connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Bone might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Maki lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Bone has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Bone and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Maki fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Bone has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Bone is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Maki here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Bone looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
