Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Bianchi (ranked 1429 p4p, 179 weight class) and Matheo Rojas (ranked 1649 p4p, 197 weight class). Bobby Bianchi could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Matheo Rojas's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bobby Bianchi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Matheo Rojas! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bianchi misses with a hook
and Rojas cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Bianchi scores with a hook. Rojas lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Rojas throws a body shot but no joy. Bianchi on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Rojas. Rojas obviously looking to wear him down.
Rojas throws a right and a left that Bianchi avoids nicely. Rojas throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Bianchi connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Rojas momentarily.
Bianchi drives through with a takedown into Rojas's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Bianchi drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Rojas manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Bianchi has Rojas in his guard. Bianchi keeping full guard, as Rojas tries to pass. Bianchi is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Rojas is aware though and is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rojas decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Rojas thuds his shin into the meat of Bianchi's side. Rojas has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Bianchi slips a straight right by Rojas. Rojas thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Bianchi if he has to take too many more of those.
Bianchi shoots in looking for a takedown but Rojas manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Bianchi's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Rojas lands a right hook to the body.
Horrible takedown attempt by Bianchi or perhaps it was just good defense by Rojas, which made it look bad. Rojas throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Matheo Rojas is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Rojas lands with a slapping head kick. Bianchi closes this distance looking for a takedown but Rojas circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bobby Bianchi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rojas connects with a solid leg kick. Bianchi misses with a takedown attempt - Rojas sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Rojas unleashes a big counter combination but Bianchi bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Rojas.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Bianchi steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Rojas. Rojas gets caught napping as Bianchi dives in and scores a takedown. Rojas manages to retain guard. Bianchi won't allow Rojas to sweep him here. Bianchi sitting in guard, not really doing much. Rojas pulls Bianchi in close to prevent any damage. Bianchi passes Rojas's left leg - he's now in half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bianchi looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Bianchi is looking to take a break and control but Rojas is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Bianchi working the head and body with strikes. Bianchi is looking for a kimura here.
Bianchi slips a nice elbow through Rojas's hands, connecting with Rojas's forehead.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bianchi lands strikes from half guard. Bianchi is looking to advance position but Rojas won't allow it. Rojas really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bianchi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Rojas wants to get back to full guard. Bianchi working over Rojas with some ground and pound. Rojas looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Rojas is rocked! Bianchi trying to control from half guard but Rojas is working away. Rojas is still in real trouble! Can Bianchi finish him? Bianchi is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Rojas is just riding it out for now. Bianchi eventually gives up the hold. Bianchi is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Bianchi looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Rojas seems to have recovered his senses. Bianchi is looking for a kimura here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Matheo Rojas will probably get the nod. That's time! Bianchi's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Bianchi cracks Rojas with a good jab. Bianchi shoots for a double leg takedown but Rojas sprawls well. He's pushed Bianchi's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Bianchi walks into a stiff left hand from Rojas. Rojas throws a predictable looking body shot
and Bianchi counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Rojas! Rojas throws Bianchi to one side and escapes! Bianchi looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Rojas has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Bianchi finds it's way round the side to connect with Rojas's head. Rojas throws a body punch but Bianchi moves out of range. Rojas leaves Bianchi with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Bianchi misses with a takedown attempt and Rojas counters with a crisp one two that drops Bianchi! Rojas thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Bianchi to his feet! Bianchi is in big trouble!
Bianchi is rocked! That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bobby Bianchi. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bianchi looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Oh Bianchi is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's one minute gone in the round. Rojas drops Bianchi with a naaaaasty hook - Bianchi is in real trouble here! Rojas dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:09 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Matheo Rojas! A relieved looking Matheo Rojas thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
