Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lucas Marston (ranked 934 p4p, 149 weight class) and Ludvig Ericsson (ranked 907 p4p, 143 weight class). Marston comes to the cage accompanied by Bring it on motherfucker. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
27 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lucas Marston! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
27 - 17 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ludvig Ericsson! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A telegraphed takedown attempt from Ericsson is defended easily by Marston. Marston loads up on a big right hand but Ericsson slips the punch. Ericsson takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Ericsson misses with a takedown and Marston counters with a nice uppercut. Ericsson goes for a double leg but Marston avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Marston continues to drive forward. Lucas Marston has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ludvig Ericsson. Ericsson shoots in but no luck this time. It looked like Marston wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. That's one minute gone in the round. Ericsson fails with the takedown. Lucas Marston is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. A jab lands there for Marston. Good work by Ericsson as he checks the leg kick. Ericsson takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Marston throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Ericsson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Marston as he jumps to the side. Marston misses with the combination.

Ericsson was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind. Good standup being displayed there by Marston as he connects with a hook. Ericsson shoots in and drives through. Marston sprawls well. It looks like Marston has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him. Ericsson tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Marston just misses with a punch to the body.
Ericsson uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Marston. Ericsson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Marston looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Marston tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Ericsson wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Marston is working hard here to advance position. Marston is trying to control Ericsson's posture but Ericsson avoids it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. An elbow from Ericsson crashes against the mat.
Ericsson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Marston manages to work his way to half guard, despite Ericsson's best efforts. Ericsson is just content to waste time from the top position. Marston takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Marston utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Marston is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Marston keeping moving, preventing Ericsson from controlling successfully. Ericsson scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Ericsson postures up in Marston's guard and throws a big left but Marston blocks it. Ericsson in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ericsson wants to control from the top but Marston keeps moving. Marston keeping full guard, as Ericsson tries to pass. Marston seems keen to control Ericsson's posture. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ericsson is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Marston preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Marston misses with a hook
and Ericsson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Ericsson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lucas Marston dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Ericsson closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Marston to the mat! Marston manages to get full guard. Marston looking to hit a scissor sweep but Ericsson is one step ahead there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ericsson connects with a couple of short punches. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Ericsson's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Marston is pulling down on Ericsson's head to control his posture. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Marston utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Ericsson wants to control from the top but Marston keeps moving. Marston is adopting a defensive guard. Ericsson trying to control the position from guard on top but Marston is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Ericsson trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Ericsson is working Marston over from the guard. Marston has momentary wrist control but Ericsson slips an elbow through the middle. Ericsson working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Marston's head. Ericsson trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Ericsson wants to control from the top but Marston keeps moving. Ericsson advances to half guard. Ericsson missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Ericsson lands a nice short elbow. Ericsson thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Marston's head. Ericsson is stalling here. Marston is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Ericsson seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Marston has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Ericsson tries to bench press Marston off him but Marston keeps the position. Marston trying to control the action but Ericsson is working from the bottom. Ericsson tries to control but Marston manages to take his back. Ericsson is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

Ludvig Ericsson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Nice takedown defense from Marston. No joy for Ericsson on that attempt. Marston is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Ericsson can do to turn this around? Ericsson gets a takedown into half guard. Marston trying to hold on to Ericsson's head to control him but Ericsson postures up.
Marston is controlling Ericsson's trapped leg to prevent Ericsson from advancing to side control. Ericsson landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
