Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Terrell Kerr (ranked 5864 p4p, 0 weight class) and Liam Lightning (ranked 4221 p4p, 399 weight class). Liam Lightning has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Terrell Kerr's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Terrell Kerr! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Liam Lightning! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Gregory Folan and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Good leg kick by Lightning there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Kerr moves to clinch but Lightning breaks away and Lightning counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Kerr forces Lightning back against the cage and clinches. Lightning is trying to break free. Kerr is trying to trip Lightning. He has hold of a leg but Lightning is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Kerr persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Kerr drops back looking for a leg! Lightning is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Lightning manages to kick Kerr off! Kerr jumps back into Lightning's guard. Lightning wants to get back to his feet but Kerr is in a dominant position and won't allow it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kerr drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kerr jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Kerr gets to his feet. Lightning looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
That's one minute gone in the round. Lightning throws a right hand that Kerr ducks under and follows up with a left that Kerr also avoids with ease. Lightning throws a sloppy head kick and Kerr moves out of range easily. Lightning throws out a leg kick but Kerr moves out of range and Lightning only half commits. Kerr moves into the clinch. Kerr turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Kerr is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Lightning has escaped the position, nice work there. Kerr is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Lightning is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Kerr thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kerr goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Lightning has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Kerr but great work by Lightning. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Lightning stands up. Nice shot lands for Lightning. Lightning explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kerr blocks a leg kick. Lightning lands a big head kick that sends Kerr tumbling to the mat! Lightning takes a step backwards and waves Kerr back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Kerr is rocked!
It looks like Terrell Kerr has been cut. Lightning connects with a solid leg kick. Oh Kerr is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Lightning lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Kerr seems to have got his legs back now. A nice inside leg kick there by Lightning. That's going to slow Kerr down. Kerr checks the leg kick. Lightning misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Kerr seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Liam Lightning seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kerr doesn't manage to clinch there - Lightning circles away.
This has been an exciting period of action! Lightning will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
It looked like Kerr was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Lightning throws a body kick that misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lightning throws a sloppy head kick and Kerr moves out of range easily. Kerr avoids the head kick by Lightning.
A looping hook to the body misses from Lightning. Kerr does a little dance to reset his feet. Kerr takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Lightning lands with a thumping leg kick.
Lightning gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Lightning has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Kerr is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. Kerr breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Lightning is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Liam Lightning dominated that round. The cut man is working on Terrell Kerr's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Kerr closes the distance looking to clinch and Lightning counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Terrell Kerr is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Lightning misses with a head kick.
Lightning gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Kerr to score an easy takedown into full guard. Lightning has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Lightning wants to get back to his feet but Kerr is in a dominant position and won't allow it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kerr stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lightning swivels though and keeps the full guard. Kerr drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kerr jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lightning is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Kerr drops back looking for a leg! Lightning is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Lightning manages to kick Kerr off! Kerr jumps back into Lightning's guard. Kerr drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kerr jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Kerr thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Kerr is standing up over Lightning. Lightning looks to escape but Kerr dives into side control.
Lightning pushes Kerr away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Kerr gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Kerr tries for a kimura but Lightning is defending well. Kerr is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Lightning looks calm but he's in trouble here. Kerr gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Lightning is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Kerr lets go of the hold and Lightning can pop his arm back in it's socket.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:47 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Terrell Kerr!
