Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Victor Machida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Caio Borges (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Machida comes to the cage accompanied by Baby By Me. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Luis Engracia and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Borges takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Machida goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Borges tries for a takedown but Machida sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Caio Borges seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Machida throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Borges throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Machida's waist but Machida gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Borges off to one side.

Machida could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Machida lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Borges has his foot on Machida's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Machida works his way back into a safe position though.

Machida decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

and Machida counters with a three punch combo that has Borges backing up. Borges nods at Machida to acknowledge the strikes.
Machida feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Borges looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Machida puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Machida tries to stand but can't do so whilst Borges controls his leg.

Machida has decided to stand back up but his arm is trapped. Whilst he's worrying about his arm, Borges works to full guard.
Borges is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Borges looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Machida pushes past his half guard into mount!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Borges tries to lock up and control but Machida gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Borges regains half guard.
Machida decides to return to a standing position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Machida throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Borges tries for a takedown but Machida circles away easily
and Machida counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Borges is trying to control but Machida manages to pass to mount!
Borges bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Machida keeping moving, preventing Borges from controlling successfully.

Machida pushes Borges off and gets back to his feet.
Borges tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Machida counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Borges bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Machida's guard.

Machida wants to stand up but Borges is controlling him.
Borges works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Borges is working for a submission of some sort.
Machida looks like he's trying to stand up.

Borges perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Borges is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Machida doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Borges.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Borges fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Machida, pushing him back against the cage.
Machida pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Borges fails with the takedown
and Machida counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Borges scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Borges goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Machida has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Borges but great work by Machida.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
