Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Officer Friendly (ranked 4636 p4p, 451 weight class) and Edger Bravo (ranked 2610 p4p, 283 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Edger Bravo was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Edger Bravo! The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Chris Saunders and Jeff Smith.

Friendly closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Bravo did well to prevent Friendly getting side control. Bravo works his way to full guard. Good work.
Bravo has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Friendly can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Friendly wants to control from the top but Bravo keeps moving.
Friendly avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Bravo is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Friendly working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Bravo has an active guard here but Friendly has managed to pass into half guard.
Bravo is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Bravo told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet. Bravo has hold of Friendly's hands but Friendly slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Friendly is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Bravo! Bravo is in all sorts of trouble here.

Bravo is rocked! A big strike lands for Friendly! That's really hurt Bravo and he's turned his back - Friendly keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Friendly jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Officer Friendly! A victorious Officer Friendly thanked his army of followers in his post fight interview, telling people to make sure they follow him on Twitter.
