Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Dukes (ranked 4988 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chistopher Hammer (ranked 5757 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Hammer's choice of entrance music: Arch Enemy - The world is yours. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, David Dukes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Chistopher Hammer!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Wagner Zegers and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dukes fails with the takedown.
Hammer throws out a counter right but Dukes avoids it with no problem.
Dukes looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Hammer fails with an attempt to clinch.
Dukes tries to land a body kick

and Hammer counters with a shoot takedown. Dukes fights it but they end up in guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Hammer tries to free his leg and advance position but Dukes is retaining full guard.
Hammer is still trying to improve position.
Hammer slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Hammer shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Dukes sprawls well. Dukes wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Hammer gets slowly back to his feet.

Dukes works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hammer has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dukes can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Dukes circles away from the clinch attempt.
Hammer stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hammer wants it to stay on the feet.

Hammer has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Hammer must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Dukes might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Hammer goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Dukes turns into him and now he's in Hammer's guard.

Hammer has his foot on Dukes's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Dukes works his way back into a safe position though.

Hammer is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Chistopher Hammer showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Dukes shoots in but no luck this time.
Hammer is looking to score with low kicks.

Dukes feints and as Hammer raises his hands in defense, Dukes changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Dukes got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hammer has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dukes has managed to get both his arms back between Hammer's legs - danger averted.
Dukes has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Hammer is proving hard to escape from.

David Dukes is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

The crowd are getting on Hammer's back here. They're not happy about his lack of aggression in the clinch.
Dukes tries to land knees in the clinch but Hammer avoids the damage to the body.

Hammer is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Hammer gets control of Dukes's arms and successfully pulls guard. Hammer will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Hammer holds on and takes a little breather.

Hammer is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Dukes pulls his head out easily.

Hammer sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Dukes winds up and cracks Hammer with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Dukes is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hammer is just riding it out for now. Dukes eventually gives up the hold.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Dukes is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Hammer reverses the position - he's now on top in Dukes's guard.
David Dukes has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Chistopher Hammer is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Hammer passes Dukes's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Well Hammer has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
