Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Billy Butcher (ranked 3130 p4p, 424 weight class) and Ronald Fredrick (ranked 3335 p4p, 446 weight class). Butcher comes to the cage accompanied by Won't Back Down. Fredrick is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Lil Jon & The Eastside Boyz: Throw It Up. Butcher has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
20 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Billy Butcher! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
21 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ronald Fredrick! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, William Peck and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A solid leg kick lands there for Butcher.
Fredrick darts in looking for a takedown but Butcher gets double underhooks and turns Fredrick into the cage. Butcher throwing a counter right hand but Fredrick manages to avoid it. Fredrick plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! A jab from Butcher misses. Fredrick feints and as Butcher raises his hands in defense, Fredrick changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Fredrick won't allow Butcher to sweep him here. Fredrick content to stall in guard here. Butcher is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Butcher is breathing heavily. Fredrick is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Butcher moves into full mount! Fredrick won't be happy about that! This has been an exciting period of action! Fredrick is working to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Butcher avoids the attempt from Fredrick to control. Fredrick regains half guard. Fredrick looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Fredrick is trying to control but can't.
Fredrick actively working from the bottom here. Fredrick is trying to stand.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Butcher moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Fredrick. Fredrick tries to improve position but can't.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fredrick struggling a bit here. Fredrick is trying to improve his position. Fredrick wants to get back to his feet. Fredrick tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Butcher wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Fredrick manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Fredrick thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Fredrick working the head and body with strikes. Fredrick lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Fredrick has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Butcher defend it? Fredrick steps over the head and cranks it - Butcher is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Fredrick!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Ronald Fredrick! Ronald Fredrick tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
