Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Froyo Hoyo (ranked 928 p4p, 36 weight class) and Carl Menger (ranked 3103 p4p, 105 weight class). Hoyo kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Bad to the bone. Menger has chosen Shiny as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
15 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Froyo Hoyo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
12 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carl Menger!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Stewart Dunkirk and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hoyo moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Menger changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hoyo tries to avoid it but Menger manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hoyo to the ground. Hoyo escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Menger doesn't succeed with the takedown
letting Hoyo counter with a right hand.
Menger shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Hoyo's guard.
Hoyo working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Menger.
Menger missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Menger prevents Hoyo from getting back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hoyo seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Menger throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Menger with a flurry of punches that miss.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Menger throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hoyo works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Hoyo is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Menger postures up and lands a big shot to Hoyo's brow.

Menger is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Hoyo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Menger on the ground.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Hoyo holds on and takes a little breather.
Menger slips nicely into half guard.
Menger thows a huge punch but Hoyo dodges it nicely.
Menger working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Menger tries to pass the half guard into mount. Hoyo knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Hoyo might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Menger thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Hoyo's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Menger working over Hoyo with some ground and pound. Hoyo looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Menger connects with a nice short shot to Hoyo's temple.
Hoyo is rocked!
Hoyo wants to improve his position but Menger is controlling well.
Hoyo has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
Menger is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Menger lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Oh Hoyo is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Menger lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Hoyo quite badly. Hoyo pulls Menger in close trying to recover. Menger postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Hoyo on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Hoyo doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Carl Menger!
Carl Menger got down on his knees post fight and begged the management for a title shot. 'Please, I want that title shot so bad! Give it to me!'
