Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Oisin Mac Cumhaill (ranked 5150 p4p, 570 weight class) and Mark Cole (ranked 7133 p4p, 630 weight class). Mark Cole will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Oisin Mac Cumhaill ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Mark Cole! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Gwen Towbar and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mac Cumhaill doesn't succeed with the takedown letting Cole counter with a right hand. Cole drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mac Cumhaill is trying to improve his position. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Mac Cumhaill might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Mac Cumhaill gets back to half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cole throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Mac Cumhaill wants to improve his position but Cole is controlling well.
Mac Cumhaill works his way to full guard. Good work. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mac Cumhaill has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cole can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Cole must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Mac Cumhaill controls Cole momentarily but Cole frees himself. Mac Cumhaill is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Cole really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mac Cumhaill . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Cole wants to pass the guard but Mac Cumhaill is keeping the position. Cole throws an elbow that misses. Mac Cumhaill uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Cole's guard. Nice move by Mac Cumhaill !
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mac Cumhaill is fighting to break Cole's control of his arms but Cole is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Mac Cumhaill looking to pass the guard. Mac Cumhaill trying to control but Cole is working from the bottom. Cole is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cole wants to sweep but no luck. Mac Cumhaill forces his way into half guard. Mac Cumhaill seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Cole does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Cole is controlling Mac Cumhaill 's position as best he can from this difficult position. Cole makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Cole shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Mac Cumhaill kicks Cole off and gets back to his feet. Mac Cumhaill is breathing heavily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Cole fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Mac Cumhaill to the ground. Cole is now in Mac Cumhaill 's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mac Cumhaill is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Cole sitting in guard, not really doing much. Cole postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Mark Cole will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Cole fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Mac Cumhaill sprawls well initially but Cole persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Mac Cumhaill taking some punishment here, with Cole in his half guard. Cole is pressing down on Mac Cumhaill 's thigh, looking to free his foot. Mac Cumhaill is holding on for now. Cole throwing shots but Mac Cumhaill is blocking nicely. Cole wants to get back to his feet.
Cole takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mac Cumhaill is trying to get back to full guard. Mac Cumhaill is pressing down on Cole's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mac Cumhaill trying to keep a closed guard but Cole is proving a slippery customer.
Mac Cumhaill manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Cole manages to get himself to full guard.
Mac Cumhaill wants to control from the top but Cole keeps moving. Cole throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Mark Cole has got the better of the ground game so far. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Cole holds on and takes a little breather. Mac Cumhaill tries to free his leg and advance position but Cole is retaining full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Mac Cumhaill wants to control from the top but Cole keeps moving. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Cole is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Mac Cumhaill is controlling him. Mac Cumhaill stopping the sweep attempt from Cole.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Oisin Mac Cumhaill is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Mac Cumhaill fails with the takedown and Cole counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Mac Cumhaill looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Cole gets the takedown into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cole sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Mac Cumhaill is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Cole tries to move into full mount but can't pass Mac Cumhaill 's legs. Mac Cumhaill can't do much from the bottom here. Cole takes a little break here. Mac Cumhaill wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Mac Cumhaill tries to bench press Cole off him but Cole keeps the position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! A lull in the action here as Cole stalls from top position. Cole lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mark Cole showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Cole feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Mac Cumhaill looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Cole content to stall in guard here. Cole trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cole not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Mac Cumhaill is trying to keep Cole in close.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mac Cumhaill has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Cole should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Mac Cumhaill has tightened it up now! Cole should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
