1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Sergey Steam! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Steven Brown and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Steam tries to clinch but Campbell is having none of it. Steam takes the fight into the clinch. A right handed body shot lands from Campbell.
Steam breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Steam shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Campbell is trying to defend but Steam finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Campbell is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Steam prevents Campbell from standing back up.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Steam has eaten all the pies! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Campbell connecting with a few gentle strikes. Campbell tries to kick Steam off but Steam keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Steam seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Campbell wants to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Steam seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Campbell does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Campbell makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Steam closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Campbell quickly recovers to half guard. Steam is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Steam really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Campbell. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Steam stops Campbell from standing up. Steam looking to pass the guard.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Campbell changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Steam looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Steam is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Campbell is controlling him well. Steam is working to avoid the ground and pound but Campbell connects with a decent elbow. That's three minutes gone in the round. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Steam can do anything to dispel that myth. Steam is not content to let Campbell control the position. Campbell grinds an elbow into Steam's temple. Campbell in side control lands a decent elbow. Steam is trying to improve his position. Campbell tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Campbell has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Campbell cracks Steam with a big right hand but Steam just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Campbell is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Steam is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Campbell scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Steam to see if he's OK. Campbell stands up and we're back to a striking position. Steam closes the distance and clinches. Steam manages to pull guard.
Campbell has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Campbell with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Campbell stands up over Steam, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Campbell is working Steam over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Campbell scoring with some ground and pound. Campbell content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Steam throws a head kick that misses. Campbell is looking for a counter combo. Campbell dives in and scores a takedown into Steam's guard. Campbell scoring with punches to the head and body. Campbell makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Steam trying to keep a closed guard but Campbell is proving a slippery customer.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Steam wants to control the position but Campbell says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Campbell landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Steam has hold of Campbell's hands but Campbell slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Campbell slips a nice elbow through Steam's hands, connecting with Steam's forehead. Campbell is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Steam can do to turn this around? Steam is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Campbell scores with a couple of nice shots. Campbell looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Steam with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Nice strikes from Campbell there.

Campbell is taking a breather. Steam says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. No, Steam has managed to free his arm - good work. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. It's a sloppy attempt though and Campbell jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Campbell with a flurry of punches that miss. Steam takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Campbell thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Campbell will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Steam is controlling Campbell's posture. Campbell stands and steps away. Steam gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Campbell throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Steam was covering up waiting for the punch and Campbell finishes the takedown easily into guard. Campbell stands up over Steam, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
