Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gerrald James (ranked 3229 p4p, 407 weight class) and Max Debrine (ranked 3642 p4p, 433 weight class). Debrine has chosen The Best as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Max Debrine was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
24 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gerrald James! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Max Debrine! The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Colin Fray and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Debrine slips a straight right by James. Debrine uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by James.
Debrine closes the distance and clinches. James's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Nice uppercut there from James. James throws a hook to the side of Debrine's head but Debrine sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Debrine tries to clinch but James moves out of range. Debrine closes the distance and clinches. Debrine lands a good knee to the midsection. James won't want to take too many of those. James breaks the clinch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Debrine looks like he's thinking about clinching though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. James looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Debrine tries to move into range but James moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Debrine lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

That's one minute gone in the round. Debrine needs to keep his hands up - James had a free shot at his head there. Debrine slips a straight right by James. James uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Debrine.

It looks like Max Debrine has been cut. James swats away the attempt to clinch by Debrine. Nice shot by Debrine. Debrine connects with a looping right hand.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! James tries to break free but Debrine pushes him back against the cage. James dodges an elbow strike from Debrine.
James is trying to break the clinch but Debrine is controlling him. Debrine trying to stall but James improves his position.
The referee calls for Debrine to work.

Debrine jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as James walks away with a smile on his face. Debrine gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Debrine cracks James with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Debrine needs to keep his hands up - James had a free shot at his head there. Debrine displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as James throws out the jab. James looks to land a left hand but Debrine moved out of range nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Debrine tries to clinch but James is having none of it. James misses the body punch and Debrine counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Debrine moves into the clinch successfully.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Debrine takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. James lands a nice uppercut. James manages to break the clinch.
Debrine misses with a lunging right hand
and James makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. James throws a low kick but Debrine moves out of range easily. Gerrald James is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. James slips a straight right by Debrine. James throws an off balance right hand
and Debrine makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. James with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Debrine to score with a decent uppercut. Debrine tries to clinch but James is having none of it. James lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. James throws a low kick, looking for Debrine's leg but Debrine calmly moves out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! James waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Debrine. Debrine missing with a left hand there. James was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. A good leg kick by James. Debrine wants to clinch. James swats away the attempt to clinch by Debrine. James swings for the body but Debrine moves out of range.
Debrine tries to clinch up but James circles away and keeps his distance. James throws a looping overhand right but Debrine ducks down to avoid it. Debrine tries to clinch there but James circles away.
Debrine throws a body punch but James moves out of range. James scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Debrine lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Gerrald James will probably get the nod. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
James defending well as Debrine loads up on a big left hand. Debrine clinches up against the cage. James avoids a wild elbow strike from Debrine. James on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
James pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. James connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. James swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Debrine throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Debrine rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and James counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. James slips under a jab. Max Debrine seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The fight stays on the outside here - Debrine looks like he's thinking about clinching though. James was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Debrine forces James back against the cage and clinches. Debrine stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

James scores with a hook to the body. Debrine takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. James scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Debrine ducks under a wild hook from James. James throws a low kick but Debrine moves out of range easily. James is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Debrine can do to turn this around? James lands with a thumping leg kick.
James moves away from the strike by Debrine.
That's two minutes gone in the round. James connects with the punch. Debrine closes this distance looking for a takedown but James circles away. James takes one to the side of the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. James fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. James swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Debrine fakes high and swings low for a body shot but James manages to avoid it. Debrine checks the leg kick. James works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. James is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Debrine fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Debrine shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts James as he jumps to the side. James throws a nice outside leg kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. James bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Debrine throws a right hand that misses
and James counters with an inside leg kick. James cracks Debrine with an open hand slap. The fight moves into the clinch position. James breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Debrine throws a lazy right hand but James sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Debrine misses the body punch and James counters with a lovely straight right hand! Debrine lands with a hook. James tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Debrine shoots in and drives through. James sprawls well. Gerrald James has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Max Debrine. James throws a hook but Debrine blocks it. James keeps the fight on the outside. A decent looking cross lands there for Debrine. Debrine misses with an uppercut
and James counters with a stiff right hand.

As Debrine backs away, James returns fire with a leg kick that just misses. Debrine might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Debrine is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Debrine darts in trying to clinch and James counters with a crisp one two that drops Debrine! James thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Debrine to his feet! Debrine is in big trouble!
Debrine is rocked! Debrine lands with a hook. James tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. James drops Debrine with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Debrine looks back up at him and smiles so James waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Debrine is still on wobbly legs! Can James finish him? Debrine throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. James moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Debrine buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
James drops Debrine with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Debrine! James dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gerrald James! An out of breath Gerrald James thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career. The defeated Max Debrine had this to say: 'Sorry dudes'.
