Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brian Baggs (ranked 7518 p4p, 549 weight class) and Queen Tamar (ranked 6471 p4p, 502 weight class). Tamar has chosen Super Sako as his entrance music. Brian Baggs has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Brian Baggs! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Queen Tamar! The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Colin Fray and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Baggs throws a big shot that misses. Tamar takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Baggs really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Baggs misses with a right hand and Tamar counters with a shoot takedown. Baggs fights it but they end up in guard. Tamar controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Baggs is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Tamar drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Baggs dives on top into guard.
Baggs knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tamar on the ground. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Baggs looking to sit in guard and control but Tamar gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Baggs on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Baggs tries to get out of the position. Baggs controlling the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tamar is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Tamar postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Baggs being controlled here, momentarily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Tamar throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Tamar controls from within his opponent's guard. Tamar stopping the sweep attempt from Baggs. Tamar forces his way into half guard. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Tamar in particular looking to stall.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tamar's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Tamar prevents Baggs from improving his position.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Baggs throws a jab but it's blocked by Tamar. Horrible takedown attempt by Tamar or perhaps it was just good defense by Baggs, which made it look bad. Tamar shoots in and gets a takedown into Baggs's guard. Tamar seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Baggs is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Baggs will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Baggs keeping full guard, as Tamar tries to pass. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Tamar sitting in guard, not really doing much. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Queen Tamar dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Baggs swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
letting Tamar counter with a right hand. Baggs moves out of range of the body kick from Tamar.
Tamar closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Baggs's guard. Tamar landing some decent shots from guard. Tamar is stalling in the full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tamar passes Baggs's left leg - he's now in half guard. Tamar is looking to advance position but Baggs won't allow it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tamar stands up from half guard. Baggs throws a lazy uppercut
and Tamar moves into the clinch. I was talking to Baggs's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Baggs wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Baggs fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Tamar lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Tamar is taking a breather. Baggs says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Tamar uses his free foot to push down on Baggs's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Baggs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Baggs tries to improve his position but instead Tamar has taken his back! Tamar is looking for the choke from the back position but Baggs is controlling his hands well. Tamar punishes Baggs with strikes from the back mount. Tamar scores with punches and elbows.
Baggs is rocked! Tamar really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Baggs. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tamar is continuing to stall. Tamar working for the choke. The referee is taking a good look at Baggs as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Tamar!
Tamar is hanging on to Baggs's back as he tries to escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Baggs showing good submission defense here.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
More stalling from Tamar. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Queen Tamar showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!
Baggs misses with a hook
and Tamar counters by clinching up. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Tamar. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Tamar's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Tamar clinches up with Baggs and pushes him back against the cage. Tamar breaks the clinch.
Tamar looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Baggs! Baggs tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. Tamar sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Baggs is trying to escape the mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tamar looking to control and managing it successfully. Tamar gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! Baggs rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Tamar counters with a nice double leg into guard. Baggs is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tamar is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Tamar trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tamar controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Tamar keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Baggs's head. Tamar seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Baggs fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Tamar checks it well. Tamar moves away from the strike by Baggs. Tamar shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Tamar showed some decent athleticism there. Tamar is figuring out what he wants to do next.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tamar scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Baggs is defending against the submission attempts here by Tamar.
Tamar stands up from half guard. Tamar shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Baggs manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Baggs wants to get back to his feet but Tamar passes into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tamar with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Baggs pushes Tamar off looking to stand but Tamar dives back in and keeps control.
And that's the end of the fight! Queen Tamar comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Tamar winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
