Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Nard Betker and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turner slips a straight right by Smith.
Turner changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Turner lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
It looks like Frank Smith has been cut.
Turner rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Smith moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Smith tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Turner manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Turner.
Smith lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.

Smith is looking for a sweep. Turner is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Turner wants to control from the top but Smith keeps moving.
Turner postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Turner has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Turner shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Smith but Smith pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Turner is stalling here. Smith is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Turner seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Smith has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
