Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rich Silva Jr (ranked 883 p4p, 103 weight class) and Frank Granger (ranked 1005 p4p, 118 weight class). Silva Jr comes to the cage accompanied by Sleeping Giant. Granger has chosen Primal Concrete Sledge as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva Jr blocks a low kick nicely.
Granger misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Silva Jr.

Granger lands a left and a right that send Silva Jr crashing to the mat, dazed. Granger thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Rich Silva Jr has been cut.

Granger moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Granger lands a big uppercut and Silva Jr crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Silva Jr looks OK. Granger waves Silva Jr back to his feet!

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Granger seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Granger throws a right hand that Silva Jr ducks under and follows up with a left that Silva Jr also avoids with ease.
Frank Granger seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Granger takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Granger looks to land a body kick but Silva Jr moved away.
Silva Jr connects with a body shot that sends Granger's belly button to the back.

It looks like Frank Granger has been cut.
Granger throws out a loose jab but Silva Jr uses good head movement to avoid it.
Silva Jr appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Granger lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Silva Jr circles away quickly and effectively.

Silva Jr throws out a powerful jab.
Silva Jr ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Silva Jr lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Granger falls backwards - clearly groggy! Silva Jr dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!

Frank Granger was interviewed post fight and said 'This is a momentary setback; a stinging defeat, but I will recover from it. A true warrior's strength is not how well he overcomes his foes, it's how well he deals with setbacks, obstacles, and adversity. I will rise again!'.
