Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Highes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and King Gustaf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Highes might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Skynyrd's Simple Man. The crowd seem to be enjoying Gustaf's choice of entrance music: Hits From The Bong By Cypress Hill. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, William Peck and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gustaf fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Highes fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Highes keeps the fight on the outside.
Highes fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Gustaf, pushing him back against the cage.
Gustaf cracks Highes with a nice body shot.
Highes goes for a takedown in the clinch but Gustaf prevents it.
Gustaf misses with a hook from the clinch.
Highes manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Highes is looking to improve his position but Gustaf isn't that keen on the idea.
Highes bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Gustaf is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Highes throws and elbow that misses. Gustaf uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Highes's guard. Nice move by Gustaf!

Highes manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Gustaf manages to get himself to full guard.
Highes is looking to work some ground and pound but Gustaf has wrist control.
Highes won't allow Gustaf to get back to his feet.
Highes drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Gustaf manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Highes has Gustaf in his guard.
Highes thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Gustaf gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Highes drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Highes stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gustaf swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Highes thows a big elbow that misses.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Gustaf tries to advance position but instead Highes slips a leg back in to half guard.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Highes is pressing down on Gustaf's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
