The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shadow stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Dones.
Dones lands a nice hook to Shadow's body. Shadow takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Dones with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Dones scores with a jab to the body.
Shadow shoots for a takedown but Dones saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Dones throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.

We've been hearing good reports from Shadow's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Shadow has a hand on Dones's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Dones takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

Shadow looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Dones is defending well. Shadow quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Dones has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Shadow celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
