Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dern MacKenzie (ranked 4622 p4p, 0 weight class) and Armondo Munoz (ranked 4360 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The judges for this bout are Josh West, Jeff Smith and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Munoz lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Nice sprawl there from Munoz as MacKenzie shoots in.
As MacKenzie backs off Munoz throws a huge counter combo but MacKenzie manages to avoid it all.
Munoz scores with a nice head shot.
MacKenzie tries to clinch but Munoz is having none of it.
Munoz unleashes a big counter combination but MacKenzie bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Munoz scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Munoz.
Munoz is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. MacKenzie knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Munoz is landing with some decent strikes but MacKenzie is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Munoz wants to finish this one by submission but MacKenzie is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Munoz.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Munoz is nestled in close to MacKenzie, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Munoz is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

You can see the frustration on Munoz's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Munoz is trying to get back to his feet but MacKenzie has full control of the position and if anything, Munoz has just worked his way into a worse spot.

MacKenzie cracks Munoz with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Munoz from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
Munoz rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
MacKenzie wants to lay and pray for a moment but Munoz keeps working.

Munoz has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. MacKenzie is working away from the top position though.

MacKenzie shoots for a takedown but Munoz saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

MacKenzie dives in and grabs Munoz's left leg, looking for a takedown. Munoz pushes down on MacKenzie's head and hops out.
Munoz connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed MacKenzie momentarily.
MacKenzie takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
MacKenzie has Munoz up against the cage in a clinch.
MacKenzie jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Munoz walks away with a smile on his face. MacKenzie gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Munoz uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

MacKenzie closes the distance and clinches up with Munoz, looking for a takedown. MacKenzie pushes Munoz against the cage but Munoz circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
MacKenzie doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
MacKenzie shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Munoz as he avoids it easily.
Munoz looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for MacKenzie!
MacKenzie takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Munoz scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at MacKenzie to see if he's OK.
Oh MacKenzie is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Munoz cracks MacKenzie with a big right hand but MacKenzie just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

A relieved looking Armondo Munoz thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
