Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hogo Sparky (ranked 5517 p4p, 498 weight class) and Gianmarco Lobosco (ranked 5452 p4p, 495 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Hogo Sparky! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Gianmarco Lobosco! The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Peter Branson and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sparky looking to score a takedown here. Lobosco is defending well but Sparky drives through and ends up in Lobosco's guard. Lobosco preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Lobosco is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Sparky wants to control from the top but Lobosco keeps moving. Sparky won't allow Lobosco to get back to his feet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sparky trying to control the position from guard on top but Lobosco is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lobosco can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Sparky controls the pace.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Lobosco throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sparky's waist but Sparky gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lobosco off to one side. Lobosco shoots in looking for a takedown but Sparky manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Lobosco's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Sparky is looking to counter punch. Hogo Sparky seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sparky closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Lobosco's guard. Lobosco utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Sparky trying to control the position from guard on top but Lobosco is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Sparky postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Lobosco is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Sparky, into his guard. Lobosco won't allow Sparky to sweep him here. Sparky has control of Lobosco's left arm, preventing Lobosco from doing any damage. Sparky has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lobosco can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Sparky looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Lobosco must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lobosco keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Sparky's head. Sparky keeping moving, preventing Lobosco from controlling successfully. Sparky has his foot on Lobosco's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lobosco works his way back into a safe position though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lobosco working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Sparky is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Lobosco has his hands clasped together but Sparky extends and breaks Lobosco's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Sparky.
