Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ryo Miyaguchi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Chambers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chambers is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Ain't No Rest for the Wicked. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ryo Miyaguchi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, John Chambers!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Steve Smith and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miyaguchi dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Chambers tries to clinch there but Miyaguchi circles away.
Miyaguchi moves out of range of the strikes.

Miyaguchi rushes Chambers and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Miyaguchi has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Chambers is trying to keep an underhook but Miyaguchi manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Miyaguchi is keen to just control but Chambers is a slippery customer.
Chambers tries to kick Miyaguchi off in order to stand up. Miyaguchi Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Miyaguchi turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Miyaguchi manages to end up in side control.
Chambers wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Miyaguchi's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
