Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ruben Harmon (ranked 5616 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jamal Lyttle (ranked 5388 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ruben Harmon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jamal Lyttle! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Harmon clinches with his opponent.
A frustrated look appears on Lyttle's face as he tries to break the clinch. Lyttle is looking to break free of the clinch but Harmon has double underhooks. Harmon with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Lyttle escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Lyttle feints a jab promting Harmon to slip. Lyttle then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Harmon slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Jamal Lyttle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Harmon takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Lyttle lands a right hook to the body.
Harmon shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Lyttle as he avoids it easily. Lyttle throws a series of punches but Harmon moves out of range. Harmon rushes Lyttle and presses him up against the cage. Harmon wants to take the fight to the mat but Lyttle manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lyttle looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Harmon tries for a takedown. No joy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ruben Harmon. That's going to take a lot out of him. A frustrated look appears on Lyttle's face as he tries to break the clinch. Harmon gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
It looks like Jamal Lyttle has been cut. Harmon tries a knee to the head but Lyttle blocks it.
Harmon misses with a knee strike.
Lyttle is trying to push Harmon away but Harmon has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Harmon misses with a short punch on the inside. Harmon breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lyttle lands with a nice combination. Harmon backs away looking to recover. Harmon looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Harmon takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Decent striking displayed by Lyttle there. Lyttle keeps the fight on the outside. This has been an exciting period of action! Lyttle looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Harmon shoots for a takedown but Lyttle saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Lyttle avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Lyttle swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A left and a right from Lyttle both land. Nice combination. Harmon takes a body punch but keeps moving. No joy there for Lyttle, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lyttle scores with a nice strike. Lyttle closes the distance and lands a one-two. Lyttle scores with a jab. Harmon acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Lyttle circles away from the clinch attempt.
Lyttle feints the counter takedown. Lyttle goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Harmon is rocked! Lyttle throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Harmon's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Lyttle dives in looking to finish as Harmon flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Lyttle's strikes! Lyttle is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Harmon's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Harmon was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jamal Lyttle!
