Coming up we have a featherweight kickboxing rules bout between Reco Penn (ranked 1241 p4p, 121 weight class) and Josh Cook (ranked 2087 p4p, 194 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
21 - 7 - 2, fighting out of Los Angeles, Reco Penn! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Josh Cook! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Dean Styles and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cook throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Cook clobbers Penn with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Josh Cook seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cook connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Cook getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Cook has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Cook tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Penn was well out of range. Poor timing from Cook. Penn fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Cook on the side of the head. A left lands for Cook. Cook lands a slapping body shot.
Nice body punch from Cook. Cook takes one on the button. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Cook swings for the body but Penn moves out of range.
Cook's corner calls for a 1-2. Cook obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Penn lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Penn misses with a kick to the body.
Cook misses with a body shot.
Cook misses with a looping left.
That's one minute gone in the round. The crowd cheers as Penn lands an impressive looking overhand right. Cook doesn't seem phased though. A nice combination there by Penn.
Cook misses with a hook. Penn is looking to counter with head kicks. Cook throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Cook misses with a shot to the body letting Penn counter with a right hand. Penn closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Cook looks to land a left hand but Penn moved out of range nicely. Cook connects with a looping right hand.
Cook moves out of range as Penn strikes. Cook swings and misses with a shot to the body and Penn counters with a straight right hand. This has been an exciting period of action! Penn shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. A slapping leg kick lands for Penn.
Penn slips under a jab from Cook. Penn throws a counter high kick but Cook was just alert enough to avoid it. Penn looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Penn looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Penn lands with a right hand. Penn ducks right into an uppercut from Cook. Penn misses with an uppercut. Cook saw that one coming. Cook lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Cook throws an off balance right hand
and Penn connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Cook looks to land a left hand but Penn moved out of range nicely. Penn avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Penn moves away from the strike by Cook. Penn is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Cook ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Cook avoids a punch combination nicely.
Cook swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Cook throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Penn stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Penn sizes up Cook with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A slow jab from Cook misses its intended target. Penn went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Penn moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Cook throws a lazy uppercut
and Penn connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Cook fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Penn manages to avoid it. Cook lands with a straight right. Penn didn't see that one coming. The crowd cheers as Cook lands an impressive looking overhand right. Penn doesn't seem phased though. Cook getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Penn is rocked! Cook closes the distance and catches Penn with a lead hook that drops him to the canvas! Penn is clearly dazed and struggling here! 3,4,5,6,7 and Penn is up to his feet but the referee has called it off! Penn is still far too wobbly and he's not going to allow the fight to continue! Cook takes it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Josh Cook! A relieved looking Josh Cook thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
