Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joey Johnson (ranked 6012 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vaso Bakocevic (ranked 5598 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Josh West and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bakocevic throws a head kick that misses.
Bakocevic shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Johnson defends it nicely.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Johnson enables Bakocevic to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Johnson manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Let's hope that Bakocevic has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Johnson moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Bakocevic is nestled in close to Johnson, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Johnson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
