Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Clinton Larsen (ranked 5539 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Poole (ranked 5456 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jimmy Poole!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Phil Schofield and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Poole closes the distance and pushes Larsen back into the cage.

Poole manages to pull guard.
Poole wants to stand and escape but Larsen is having none of it.
Larsen postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Larsen has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Larsen bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Poole's guard.

Larsen is looking to work some ground and pound but Poole has wrist control.

Larsen postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Poole is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Larsen, into his guard.

Larsen escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Poole gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Larsen is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Poole is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Poole stands up and waves to Larsen to follow him.

That was a close second round but I would say that Clinton Larsen will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Poole throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Larsen's waist but Larsen gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Poole off to one side.
Poole swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Poole is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Poole tries a knee to the head but Larsen blocks it.
Poole tries to land knees in the clinch but Larsen avoids the damage to the body.
Larsen jumps guard but Poole turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Poole drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Larsen gets the underhooks and prevents it.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Clinton Larsen. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Larsen has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Poole after a bit of a struggle.

I would just about give that final round to Jimmy Poole.
