Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Darrel Kidd (ranked 5530 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marco Guerrieri (ranked 25463 p4p, 0 weight class). Marco Guerrieri will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Darrel Kidd!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Marco Guerrieri!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Ackerman and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guerrieri lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.


It looks like Darrel Kidd has been cut.
Kidd really is a fat lump.
A head kick misses from Kidd.
Guerrieri throws a nice head kick!
Guerrieri throws a hook but Kidd avoids it easily.
Kidd fires out a quick counter leg kick but Guerrieri just manages to avoid it.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Guerrieri wants to break free but Kidd has control.
Kidd's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Guerrieri manages to break the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Guerrieri bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Kidd throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!

Kidd has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Guerrieri has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kidd drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kidd jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Kidd decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Guerrieri, up you get!
Guerrieri throws a right and a left that Kidd avoids nicely.
Kidd wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

Guerrieri tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
As Guerrieri tries to get set, Kidd tries to push him back and clinch up but Guerrieri manages to avoid the attempt.
Guerrieri swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Kidd holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Kidd.
Kidd tries to work over Guerrieri's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
