Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Island Punch (ranked 6009 p4p, 373 weight class) and Gustav Ahr (ranked 5358 p4p, 354 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Gustav Ahr!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Michael Johnstone and Winston Alpacca.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Punch avoids the head kick by Ahr.
Punch swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Punch throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Ahr.
Ahr feints the counter takedown.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Punch enables Ahr to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Punch manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Ahr stands up over Punch, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Punch is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Ahr is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!

Punch wants to stand but Ahr is controlling the position.

Ahr lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Ahr is working Punch over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ahr sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Punch's guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Ahr connects with a nice short shot to Punch's temple.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ahr is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Ahr is looking to advance position but Punch won't allow it.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Ahr lands a nice short elbow.
Ahr prevents Punch from standing back up.
Punch is staying active underneath Ahr, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Ahr working over Punch with some ground and pound. Punch looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

Punch is trying to stand.
Punch knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ahr on the ground.

Punch is rocked!
Punch pushes Ahr off looking to stand but Ahr dives back in and keeps control.
Oh Punch is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Ahr lands strikes from half guard.

Ahr winds up and cracks Punch with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Ahr lands a big elbow - Punch is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Ahr!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gustav Ahr!
An out of breath Gustav Ahr thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
