Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Red Brophy (ranked 72 p4p, 9 weight class) and Nick Cotton (ranked 203 p4p, 27 weight class). Brophy comes to the cage accompanied by JME - The Very Best. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shigeki Sano and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cotton avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Brophy throws a nice looking combination but Cotton bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Brophy throws a body kick that misses.
Brophy keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Brophy throws a quick counter kick to the body but Cotton avoids it.
Brophy looks to land a right hand but Cotton moved out of range.
Brophy looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Brophy swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Cotton.
Cotton smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brophy is looking to clinch but Cotton is avoiding it.

Brophy displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Cotton throws out the jab.
And Brophy counters with a quick kick to the body but Cotton blocks it.

Brophy throws a lazy right hand but Cotton sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Cotton uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Brophy.
Cotton scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Brophy doesn't seem bothered though.

Cotton tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Brophy defends well and Cotton ends up having to push Brophy into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Cotton takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Brophy is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Cotton.

Brophy bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Cotton's guard.

Brophy knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Cotton on the ground.

so Cotton counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Cotton stands and throws Brophy's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Cotton wants to lay and pray for a moment but Brophy keeps working.

Cotton fails to land a wild elbow strike.

Cotton in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Cotton has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Brophy is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Cotton yanks on the arm and Brophy is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Cotton.

After winning the bout, Nick Cotton thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
