Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Felipe Ruas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacob Edwards (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jacob Edwards has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Felipe Ruas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jacob Edwards!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Wesley Smith and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruas swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Edwards tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Ruas scores with a one two! Edwards had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.


It looks like Jacob Edwards has been cut.
Ruas rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Edwards moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Edwards gets a takedown into half guard.

Edwards is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Ruas is just riding it out for now. Edwards eventually gives up the hold.
Edwards is looking to stall here but Ruas recovers full guard.

Edwards thows a big elbow that misses.
Ruas pulls Edwards in to control the position.

Edwards has gone for a leg lock! Ruas slips out almost immediately though and dives into Edwards's guard.

Edwards had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Ruas is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Edwards Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Ruas's back instead.
Ruas manages to escape to a better position under a series of strikes. Edwards is now in side control.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
