Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Williams (ranked 3984 p4p, 464 weight class) and Sylvester Malone (ranked 3530 p4p, 424 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
23 - 16 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Daniel Williams! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 11 - 1, fighting out of New York, Sylvester Malone! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Jonathan Paton and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Malone shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Williams counters with a straight right hand. Williams throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Malone's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Williams connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Malone scrambles back to his feet. Malone shoots and misses and Williams connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Williams misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Malone shoots in for a double leg but Williams sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Daniel Williams has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sylvester Malone. Malone drives through with a takedown into Williams's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Williams keeping moving, preventing Malone from controlling successfully. Williams keeping full guard, as Malone tries to pass. Malone loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Malone missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Malone is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Malone told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet. Malone has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Williams in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Malone looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Williams wants to control from the top but Malone keeps moving. Malone had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Williams defends it easily. Williams won't allow Malone to sweep him here. Malone keeping full guard, as Williams tries to pass.

Williams trying to control the position from guard on top but Malone is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Malone is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Williams defends well. Malone wants to sweep here but Williams controlling him for the moment. Williams trying to control but Malone is working from the bottom. Malone avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Williams is stalling in the full guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Malone is looking for a triangle but Williams pushes his legs off easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Williams pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Malone is keeping the position for now. Williams trying to control but Malone is working from the bottom. Malone looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Williams with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Malone looking for a sweep. Not yet Malone, not yet. Williams with a flurry of punches that miss. Williams trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Malone avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Williams stands and throws Malone's legs to the side, diving into side control. Malone taking a bit of punishment here - Williams scoring with strikes. Malone shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Williams pinned against the cage. Williams gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Williams swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Malone shoots in looking for a takedown but Williams manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Malone's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Malone is trying hard to land a takedown here. Williams sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Daniel Williams has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sylvester Malone. Malone tries for a takedown but Williams circles away easily and Williams counters with a lovely shot to the body. Malone decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Williams has one foot on Malone's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sylvester Malone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nice cross by Williams. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Malone with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Williams to score with a decent uppercut. Williams misses with a head kick.
Malone moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Malone misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Williams.
Williams was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
That's one minute gone in the round. Malone walks into a straight right hand from Williams. Williams is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Malone. Daniel Williams is winning the standup battle so far. Williams pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Malone misses with a takedown letting Williams counter with a right hand. Horrible takedown attempt by Malone or perhaps it was just good defense by Williams, which made it look bad. Williams is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Malone can do to turn this around? Williams fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Malone manages to avoid it. Williams darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Malone!

That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Malone shoots and misses and Williams counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Williams lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Good shot there by Williams. Malone has his takedown stuffed and Williams counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Williams connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Malone shoots in and gets a takedown into Williams's guard. Williams scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Sylvester Malone is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A left lands for Williams. Malone tries to clinch up and Williams counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Williams throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Malone. Williams takes a swing at Malone's ribcage but misses. This has been an exciting period of action! Williams makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

A head punch on the inside from Malone fails to land. Malone has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Williams after a bit of a struggle. Williams pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Malone misses with an attempted mid kick.

Malone tries to close the distance and clinch up but Williams swats him away and circles back towards the center. Nice shot lands for Williams. Malone misses with a takedown attempt and Malone takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Williams misses with an uppercut. Williams scores with a sloppy right hand. Malone should have avoided that one. Malone shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Williams connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Williams throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Malone throws a lazy body kick and Williams counters with a lovely straight right hand! Malone shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Williams sprawls well. Williams wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Malone gets slowly back to his feet. Daniel Williams has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sylvester Malone. Malone throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Williams. Williams throws a big counter combination but Malone scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Malone throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Williams was covering up waiting for the punch and Malone finishes the takedown easily into guard. Williams pushes Malone off and scrambles back to his feet.
Malone takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Williams jabs Malone to the body, keeping him at a distance.

Malone looking to score a takedown here. Williams is defending well but Malone drives through and ends up in Williams's guard. Malone is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Williams is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Williams has escaped and now he's on top! Malone looking for a sweep. Not yet Malone, not yet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Malone keeping full guard, as Williams tries to pass.

Williams trying to control but Malone is working from the bottom. Williams stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Malone swivels though and keeps the full guard. Williams is working hard here to advance position. Williams postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Malone preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Williams wants to control from the top but Malone keeps moving. Malone manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Williams manages to get himself to full guard.

Malone cracks Williams with a solid left hand. Malone is looking to advance position but Williams has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Williams is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Malone can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Sylvester Malone has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Daniel Williams is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Williams wants to control the pace but Malone is squirming around nicely.
And that's the end of the fight! Daniel Williams showed his dominance in that final round. Well Williams has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
