Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sub Bot!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mike Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Alyssa Summers and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Bot is trying to drag Johnson to the mat but Johnson just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Bot drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Johnson gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Johnson pulls guard effortlessly.
Bot postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Bot trying to control but Johnson is working from the bottom.
Bot throwing strikes but missing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Johnson is trying to control the position but Bot postures up.
Johnson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bot doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bot manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bot thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Johnson's head.

Johnson wants to control but Bot is keeping busy.
Bot has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Bot drops an elbow to the side of Johnson's head.
Johnson tries to roll over but Bot keeps him under control.
Bot is trying to control the action in half guard but Johnson is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Bot slips a nice elbow through Johnson's hands, connecting with Johnson's forehead.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bot seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Johnson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Bot is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Johnson!
Bot is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Johnson to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Johnson shrugs it off.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Bot cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Johnson is looking to improve his position but Bot isn't that keen on the idea.
Bot trying to control but Johnson is having none of it.

Bot avoids the attempt from Johnson to control.
Bot lands a heavy elbow.
Bot wants to control the pace but Johnson is squirming around nicely.
BOOM! Bot connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Bot lands a big shot there that rocks Johnson but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Johnson holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Bot tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sub Bot dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Bot stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Bot wants it to stay on the feet.
Johnson misses with a straight right.
Johnson dives in for a single leg takedown but Bot sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Johnson looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Johnson is thwarting Bot's attempts to control the position.
Bot is staying active underneath Johnson, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Johnson thows a huge punch but Bot dodges it nicely.

Bot has his foot on Johnson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Johnson works his way back into a safe position though.

Johnson lands a couple of elbows.
Bot escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Johnson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Bot looking to hit a scissor sweep but Johnson is one step ahead there.
Bot can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Johnson controls the pace.
Bot is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Johnson can do to turn this around?

Johnson is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Bot is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Bot has escaped and now he's on top!
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bot accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Bot lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Bot cracks Johnson with a solid left hand.

Bot stands up over Johnson, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Johnson has his hands on Bot's head, controlling the position.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Sub Bot will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Johnson wants to improve his position but Bot is controlling well.
Johnson is refusing to be controlled, as Bot sits in half guard.
Bot lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Bot lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Bot looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Bot looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Johnson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Sub Bot is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Bot winds up and cracks Johnson with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Johnson has hold of Bot's hands but Bot slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Bot is taking a breather. Johnson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Bot wants to lay and pray for a moment but Johnson keeps working.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bot is on top in guard.
Bot stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Johnson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Sub Bot showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bot, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
