Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Brian Burrow! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mark Wilson! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Steven Brown and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Burrow gets tackled into the cage by Wilson. Wilson maintains the clinch. Wilson misses with a hook from the clinch. Burrow breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Wilson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Burrow paws at him with a jab and circles away. Burrow closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Burrow is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Wilson has escaped the position, nice work there. Wilson tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Burrow wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Burrow scores with a couple of short elbows. Burrow is looking to take a break and control but Wilson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Burrow tries for a kimura but Wilson is defending well. Burrow cracks Wilson with a big right hand but Wilson just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Wilson prevents Burrow from improving position.

Wilson felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Wilson is squirming around, avoiding Burrow's attempts to control the action. Burrow looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Burrow cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Wilson is rocked! Burrow is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Wilson can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Wilson tries to clinch but Burrow is having none of it. Burrow fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Wilson, pushing him back against the cage. Burrow gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Wilson regains guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Burrow's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Burrow cracks Wilson with a solid left hand. Wilson looking for a sweep. Not yet Wilson, not yet. Burrow drops back looking for a leg! Wilson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Wilson manages to kick Burrow off! Burrow jumps back into Wilson's guard. Wilson is trying to control the position but Burrow postures up. Burrow wants to control from the top but Wilson keeps moving. Burrow stopping the sweep attempt from Wilson. Burrow looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Burrow loads up on a big left hand. Wilson felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Burrow looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Wilson can't hide his disappointment, as Burrow celebrates the victory.
