Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, David Sapman!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Paulsen Ambrosius and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Chan tries to sprawl but Sapman drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Sapman throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Sapman seems to be looking for submissions.

Sapman looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Sapman seems to be looking for submissions.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sapman sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Chan defending well though.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Sapman is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Chan defends it well.
Sapman thows a huge punch but Chan dodges it nicely.

Sapman looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Sapman wants to take a breather but Chan is having none of it.

Sapman is trying to control the action in half guard but Chan is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Sapman lands strikes from half guard.
Chan knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sapman on the ground.

Sapman is looking for a kimura but Chan is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Sapman to get the leverage.
Sapman is keen to just control but Chan is a slippery customer.
Chan wants to control but Sapman is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Chan is breathing heavily.
Sapman wants to control but Chan is keeping him busy.

Sapman is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Sapman maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Chan could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Sapman has cracked it and Chan is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Sapman!
