The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bugbee stuffs the takedown attempt from Witt. Witt gets slowly back to his feet.

Bugbee is looking to break free of the clinch but Witt has double underhooks.
Bugbee tries to break the clinch but Witt is controlling the position.
Bugbee lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Witt or not.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bugbee breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Witt could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Bugbee is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Bugbee lands with a nice combination. Witt backs away looking to recover.
Bugbee moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Witt tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Bugbee tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Bugbee has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Witt is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Bugbee ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Witt is breathing heavily.

Witt shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Bugbee defends it nicely.

Dick Witt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Bugbee counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Witt fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Bugbee, pushing him back against the cage.

Witt pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

and Bugbee counters with a left and a right that stings Witt.
Bugbee lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

It looks like Dick Witt has been cut.

Bugbee takes the fight into the clinch.
Oh Witt is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Witt can't get the takedown.
Witt seems to have got his legs back now.
Bugbee has Witt pressed against the cage.

Witt changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Bugbee fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Witt takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Witt closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Bugbee's guard.
Witt is standing up over Bugbee. Bugbee looks to escape but Witt dives into side control.

Bugbee is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Witt lands a nice forearm strike.

Bugbee can't do much from the bottom here.
Bugbee is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Witt is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
Bugbee has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Witt lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Witt working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Bugbee turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Witt off and cradles Bugbee's limp body as Witt celebrates with his corner.
