Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brian Marais! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pete Peterson! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Marais shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Peterson as he jumps to the side. Peterson misses with a looping left. Peterson fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Marais goes for a double leg but Peterson avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Peterson continues to drive forward. Peterson looks like he wants to counter punch here. Peterson scores with a nice right hand.
Peterson looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Peterson connects with a single shot there. Peterson cracks Marais with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Peterson looks to throw the jab but Marais is out of range. Marais uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Peterson. Marais with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Peterson to score with a decent uppercut. Marais slips a jab from Peterson.

A jab from Peterson does it's job there. Peterson closes the distance and clinches. Peterson lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Peterson lands with a right to the head.
Marais is rocked! Peterson lands a left hand.
Oh Marais is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Peterson prevents the takedown attempt.
Marais seems to have got his legs back now. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brian Marais. That's going to take a lot out of him. Peterson is leaning against Marais and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Peterson lands a hook that snaps the head of Marais backwards. Marais is working for takedown but Peterson is calmly controlling the position for now. Peterson lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Peterson lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Peterson lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Marais backwards. Peterson pushes Marais back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Marais is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Peterson is defending well. Peterson makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. A right hook to the body lands for Peterson.

Marais tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Peterson moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
