Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nero Boston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Bravo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boston comes to the ring accompanied by Loituma - . Bravo has chosen timbuktu as his entrance music. Tony Bravo told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Nero Boston! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tony Bravo! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Thiago Cunha and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boston closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Bravo to the mat! Bravo manages to get full guard. Boston slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Boston sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Bravo is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Bravo manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Bravo trying to control from the bottom.
Boston tries to pass the half guard into mount. Bravo knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Bravo is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Bravo gets back to full guard.
Bravo looks gassed! Bravo looking to hit a scissor sweep but Boston is one step ahead there. Boston stands and throws Bravo's legs to the side, diving into side control. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Boston fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Boston is looking to take a break and control but Bravo is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Boston is trying to get an arm triangle but Bravo is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boston wants to control but Bravo is keeping him busy. Boston is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Bravo is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Boston looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Boston wants to control but Bravo is keeping him busy. Bravo is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Bravo is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Boston lands a few punches from side control. Boston works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Boston controls the position. Boston is trying to get an arm triangle but Bravo is defending well. Boston tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Boston has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Boston tries to advance to mount but can't. Boston looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Bravo is avoiding damage well.
Boston wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bravo keeps working.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bravo wants to control but Boston postures up. Bravo gets back to half guard. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Boston passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Bravo! Bravo tries to get back to half guard but can't. Boston raining down shots from the mount! Bravo keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Boston tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Boston mounts Bravo! Really nice guard pass there! Bravo is trying desperately to improve position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Boston pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Bravo has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.

Boston has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Bravo! Can he survive? No! He's out! Boston gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Nero Boston!
