Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vitor Belfort (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wallys Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wallys Silva has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Leandro Rodrigues and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva has closed the distance and engaged Belfort in a clinch.
Silva breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Belfort shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Silva as he jumps to the side.
Silva lands a nice leg kick that just misses Belfort's sensitive parts.
Belfort is breathing heavily.
Silva closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Silva throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Belforts head.
Silva is working for takedown but Belfort is calmly controlling the position for now.
Belfort drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Silva gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Silva breaks from the clinch.
Silva gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Silva gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Belfort regains guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Silva stands up and waves to Belfort to follow him.
Silva rushes Belfort and presses him up against the cage.
Silva manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Belfort drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Silva manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Belfort has Silva in his guard.
Belfort is looking for a triangle here but Silva uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Belfort keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Silva wants to control the pace but Belfort is squirming around nicely.
Silva content just to control the position here.
Belfort is desperately trying to improve his position but Silva has a good base and remains in mount.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Silva takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Belfort is looking to improve his position but Silva isn't that keen on the idea.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Silva fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Belfort, pushing him back against the cage.
Belfort has Silva pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Silva manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Silva gets underhooks to prevent Belfort's takedown attempt.
Silva lands a nice uppercut.

Silva seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Belfort has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Silva escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Silva!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Silva looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Belfort regains full guard. Nicely done.

Belfort is looking to sinch up a triangle. Silva throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Belfort's body to avoid the submission. Belfort has instead reached around Silva's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Belfort arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
