Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bill Rodman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrei Silas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Andrei Silas is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bill Rodman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andrei Silas! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Tiny Johnson and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silas fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Rodman looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Silas is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Rodman scores with a couple of nice shots. Rodman thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Silas's head. Silas tries to roll over but Rodman keeps him under control. Rodman lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Rodman not landing any meaningful shots this time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rodman sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Silas defending well though. It looks like Rodman is going to stand back up.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Rodman lands a nice short elbow. Rodman throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Silas is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Silas is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Rodman thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Rodman misses with a double jab.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silas misses with a takedown and Rodman moves into the clinch. Silas looks gassed! Rodman breaks from the clinch.
Rodman bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Rodman scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Silas to see if he's OK. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Silas pushes Rodman away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Rodman gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Silas stops Rodman from passing to mount. Silas tries to bench press Rodman off him but Rodman keeps the position. Rodman has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Silas misses with a takedown attempt and Rodman counters with a three punch combo that has Silas backing up. Silas nods at Rodman to acknowledge the strikes. Bill Rodman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andrei Silas. Silas tries to close the distance and clinch up but Rodman swats him away and circles back towards the center. Silas clinches but Rodman breaks the clinch and Rodman counters with a nice double leg into half guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Silas moves into full guard.
Rodman missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Rodman in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Silas has a closed guard, preventing Rodman from standing up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rodman working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Silas's head. Rodman would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. No joy there for Rodman, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Rodman knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Silas on the ground. Rodman takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Silas wants to control but Rodman is keeping him busy. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Check out the look on Silas's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silas is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Rodman is trying to escape and Silas transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Rodman is forced to tap! Nice work there by Silas! Very nice indeed!
